Students in computer lab

Dear Sri/Smt.,

On behalf of The Home for Orphan Students we wish to bring the following facts for your kind information. We request you to kindly spend a few minutes of your valuable time and go through this appeal.

As you are aware, education plays a vital role in shaping the younger generation into useful members of the society and good citizens. Unfortunately, due to various reasons quite a high percentage of deserving young students are deprived of the opportunity to pursue higher education after a certain stage. Poverty, lack of financial support, league of proper guidance (particularly in the case of deserving orphan students) and various other factors doom them to end up as servants, rickshaw pullers, daily wage earners, farm workers, etc.

The Home for Orphan Students is a charitable institution. The sole objective of the Home is to provide free boarding, lodging, books and other basic amenities to the poor and the deserving orphan, poor students who have strong desire to pursue higher education.

The institution offers free boarding, lodging, books, and essential amenities, enabling students to focus on academic growth and personal development. By removing financial and social barriers, the Home empowers young minds to become self-reliant, responsible, and contributing members of society.

Governed by an elected honorary Managing Committee, the Home functions with transparency and dedication. It is recognized under Income Tax Exemption 80G (5)(vi), allowing donors to support this noble cause while availing tax benefits.

Through education, care, and collective support, The Home for Orphan Students continues its mission of giving hope, dignity, and a brighter future to those who need it most.

Establishment of Home

With a view to extend a helping hand to these unfortunate souls, The Home for Orphan Students was started in June 1996.

The founders themselves were inmates of an orphanage in their childhood. Having experienced the hardships of orphan life, they have come up with the idea of continuing their mite in service to society by helping the downtrodden.

Governance

The Home, registered under Society Act in the year 1996, is governed by a Constitution laid down by the founders. The members of the Managing Committee (Purely honorary) are elected once in two years from amongst its donors present in the General Body Meeting.

We are happy to inform you that our institution has got “Income Tax Exemption under 80(G) (5) (vi) of the I.T. Act, 1961”. If possible encourage your friends and relatives to support this noble cause and avail Income Tax Exemption.
